Setting the Stage

To set the stage for the Symposium, we are hosting a hackathon that leads with innovation—the first step on our journey to decongest the cities. This hackathon aims to spark creative solutions and set the tone for the symposium with themes centered around:

Traffic Decongestion

Present innovative ideas that use real-time data for smart traffic control, intelligent transportation systems, and staggered entry and exit strategies to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.

Mobility Infrastructure Health Check

Brainstorm solutions for monitoring road conditions like pothole detection, and design systems that predict and reduce weather-related disruptions in urban transport for better mobility.

Promoting Mass Transit Systems

Develop data-driven solutions for efficient queue management, reducing wait times, and optimizing public transit, while encouraging societal changes and policies to increase mass transit and public transport adoption.

Green Commute and Range Improvement

Propose city infrastructure plans like bike lanes and parking for micro-mobility, and create a local navigation app showing safe routes, nearby amenities, and real-time conditions for users.

Micro Mobility and Last Mile Solutions

Promote smart urban transport solutions like workplace programs encouraging cycling or carpooling and strategic charging station placements to boost EV range and support green commuting.

Objective of the Hackathon: Drive Innovation

The hackathon will uncover innovative and transformational solutions to combat congestion in Indian cities.

Outcome of the Hackathon

At least three actionable prototypes or solutions to address key challenges in mobility and the future of work.

A detailed implementation roadmap for integrating these solutions into MoveInSync's offerings or any other interested organization.

How it works?

01   Students and Tech Enthusiasts:

Original solutions to urban mobility problems

  • Apply by 15th September
  • Get Mentors assigned (shortlisted teams)
  • Have focus group sessions and build prototype
  • Present final solution to judges
  • Winners get to showcase prototype at the Symposium
  • Cash prizes for top 3 winners (₹1.5 lakhs per team)

02   Existing Startups:

Ready to use apps/platforms solving urban mobility/transportation challenges

  • Apply by 15th September
  • Showcase products (selected teams)
  • Pitch ideas to judges and investors (aligned to problem statement)
  • Winners to present solution at the Symposium
  • Cash prizes for top 3 winners (₹50,000 per team)
